I’m sort of ashamed of myself, I spoiled an entire second of the album :[

You know, okay, I kind of get it, you guys don’t want to “experience” any part of it without parts of it being “spoiled” but here’s the thing

This isn’t like a leak or anything. This isn’t a demo somebody stole. The Protomen played the song in front of THOUSANDS of people, LIVE. They WANT you to hear it. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t have played it.

I mean what are you going to do when you go to a show next summer and they bust it out? Cover your ears and go “LA LA LA ACT III SONG I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT?”

I mean, this is like going, “Nope, I’m not gonna watch a trailer for that movie because it’s gonna spoil the plot.” No it’s not! This has spoiled…all of nothing! We know there’s an awesome song with Gambler singing most of it. That’s all! Are you telling me you *don’t* want to hear that shit?

This is worded a lot more douchey than I intended it to come out but I can’t figure out a way to word it that doesn’t sound that way. I’m not angry and I’m not trying to be all “my way is the only way to experience things” but I just…I don’tunderstandat all, and that’s the part that frustrates me.

I’m not listening to it because I want to wait and see if they play it at the Denver show next week. If they do, I’d rather hear it there first. If not, then I’ll listen to it here. I’d just rather hear it live if possible before hearing it from an internet stream video, if given the choice.

Additionally, I will be quite jealous. Jus’sayin.

Ben just broke it down as “levels of discovery”. Some people take joy in the journey of seeing the music evolve and getting excited over what little information we get bit by bit while others take more joy in enjoying a complete product from start to finish. Like how some people really don’t like watching movie trailers.
